 Continuing competence programs have a competency assessment component. Often this takes the format of a competency self-assessment form that is based on the competency profile that has been developed for the profession.
The Competency Self-Assessment Form can be completed on-line or in paper format. The self assessment is the prequisite to preparing the Learning Plan, which often must be submitted on an annual basis as a condition of renewal of professional registration.
