CompeTrax is a web-based, real-time competency data management system that was created to support continuing competence / education programs for health care professionals. CompeTrax can easily be adapted to manage competency data in other regulated professions and similar applications.

The goal of this website is twofold: a) to demonstrate the features and capability of CompeTrax; and, b) to provide information about professional continuing competence programs.

To demonstrate the components and features of CompeTrax, we have created a hypothetical Continuing Competence Program for Naturopathic / Holistic Veterinarians. This example has all four components found in a typical continuing competence program: a) detailed competency profile, b) a self-assessment form based on the competency profile, c)  learning plans / records that document professional development activities and track progress, and d) this CompeTrax website that manages the data. Both paper and electronic versions are demonstrated here.

We have also added several other advanced components. These include a member's profile database, a Quality of Worklife measurement and monitoring component, a learning activities evaluation system, a self-testing feature and sophisticated analysis, reporting / data query capabilities. These are intended to be examples only. All of the CompeTrax components can be customized to fit specific client needs.
